Lumen retrieves balances, transactions, and other financial records through Quiltt when needed. These financial records are not saved in Lumen's database. We keep service information such as your profile, subscription, and connection authorizations.
The AI you approve receives the information
Your chosen AI app receives the information needed to answer your question. Its own privacy, retention, and training policies apply. Review those settings before connecting.
Your bank login never reaches Lumen
Financial connections run through Quiltt and its data providers. Their policies also apply to the information they handle. Quiltt publishes its own security documentation for review.

Questions about access and control
Does Lumen get my bank password?
No. You sign in within the financial connection flow provided through Quiltt and its data providers. Lumen does not receive or store your bank login credentials.
Can my AI change anything?
Your financial accounts cannot be changed through Lumen. With permissions you approve, your AI can organize information in Lumen, such as transaction categories and labels. This does not give it the ability to move money, pay bills, or make trades.
Can I give different AI apps access to different accounts?
Your account selection is shared across the AI apps you approve. You can manage each AI app’s connection separately, but you cannot assign a different set of financial accounts to each app.
What happens to information after I disconnect?
Disconnecting stops future access through Lumen. It does not erase information an AI app or financial data provider has already received. Review that provider’s controls and privacy policy if you want to remove information it holds.
Does every answer use up-to-the-minute bank data?
Lumen queries its financial data provider on demand. The information available depends on your institution and connection, so a recent transaction may take time to appear. Review the underlying records before relying on an answer.
